Senior Software Developer

Job Description / Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Software Developer, you're responsible for Making Stuff Go. You will build infrastructure to create new products, improve existing features, squash bugs, and help us rapidly scale our platform. Responsibilities include building strong relationships with stakeholders to create a long-term strategic roadmap for the web applications; overseeing and setting priorities for junior developers; supporting and documenting integrations with back-end systems

  1. Write well intended, optimized and secure codes
  2. Developing new features and functionality in multiple Laravel projects
  3. Work as a team player, takeover independent in-house projects and complete with in the deadline
  4. Work on font-end coding (jQuery) as per the module requirements
  5. Integrate 3rd party services like payment gateways, insurance company’s web services etc
  6. Troubleshoot the existing modules and should properly update the task status in project management tool
  7. Participate in daily team meetings and should be ready to perform peer code reviewing periodically
  8. Contributing time to prepare DFD, ERD, Architecture Diagrams etc
  9. Mentor Junior Programmers
  10. Unit test the tasks before releasing to QA and avoid QA iterations for the bugs
  11. Work on any other duties assigned by the reporting manager
  12. Work during the weekends or stretch time during the week days to support the production module releases, if required (Compensatory off will be provided)

Desired profile of the candidate

 

Candidate should be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, quick learner and should have a knowledge in advanced PHP programming, jQuery/Java Script, strong in OOPS concepts and good understanding on SQL queries, should have experience in the following areas

 

  1. Strong analytical skills and Let's get it done attitude
  2. Should finish the assigned task in given timeline and support to meet the project deadlines
  3. Experience in working on multiple projects at a time
  4. Minimum 3 years of development experience in PHP
  5. In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 PHP Framework  (CodeIgniter, Yii will be also considered)
  6. Experience in building and maintaining RESTful web services and knowledge in JWT, JSON & XML 
  7. Knowledge in 3rd party integrations like payment gateway
  8. Should process good knowledge in MySQL or any RDBMS
  9. Should be familiar with responsive design principles
  10. Good experience in deploying the projects in the server
  11. Must be able to hand code in Bootstrap HTML framework and technologies such as jQuery /react / vue etc
  12. Must have knowledge of version control systems such as Git
  13. Understanding in tending technologies/frameworks like Google Firebase, Angular, React, Mongo DB, WordPress will be an added advantage but not mandatory
  14. Experience in preparing the SDLC documents like Test Cases, Release Notes and functional documents like DFD, DTD, ERD etc will be an added advantage but not mandatory
  15. Willing to during the weekends or stretch time during the week days to support the production module releases, if required
